Pete Wentz and Ashlee Simpson were spotted together at new L.A. hotspot Parc Saturday night attending a friend's birthday bash.

The two spent their time in a semi-hidden booth holding hands, gazing into each other's eyes and kissing. Ashlee periodically danced with her friends. When they left the party they did so together hand-in-hand. (See above.)

"They definitely weren't hiding the fact that they were together," an onlooker told People. "They were making out a lot and they were pretty intense."

Pete has in the past denied he and Ashlee were anything more than "just friends." In February he told RollingStone magazine: "Maybe in a different universe, we'd be some hot couple, but not in this one."

The times, if not the universe, have certainly changed for the couple.
